Mrs. Forest Bryant Golding, age 89 of 3859 Lambsburg Road, Lambsburg, VA, beloved widow of Mr. C.J. Golding passed away Friday evening, July 25, 2025, at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1935, Carroll County, VA, to the late Rev. Gilmer Bryant and Hazel Berrier Bryant. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Marie Simmons and LJ.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy Golding and Trudy; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Golding was preceded in death by her loving husband, C.J. Golding; sons, Luther Golding, Clarence Golding; daughter, Phyllis Golding; great grandson, Casey Owen Terry; sister, Pauline Lyons; brother, Clarence Bryant. A celebration of Mrs. Golding life will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy McCraw officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM until time of the service. The family would like to express a special thanks to caregiver Lynn Morris for all the help during mom's sickness, the staff of Blue Ridge Home Health and Mountain Valley Hospice for all the care and compassion shown.
