Garrett Harris Obituary

Garrett Harris

Mr. Cleve Garrett Harris, II, 38, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 7, 2025. Known to all who loved him simply as Garrett, he was a man who truly embodied the best of his family. He was a devoted son, a loving father, and a best friend. He was taken from us too soon. Garrett was the marketing director for Kevin Powell Motorsports. He was a passionate Duke fan, an avid fisherman, and an aspiring woodworker. He is survived by his daughter, McKinley, who was the light of his life, his best friend, and his fishing partner. Also surviving are his parents, Cleve and Deborah Harris of Pilot Mountain; his sisters, Mallie Harris and Jessie Harris (Thomas Chambers); his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Lexie, Chase, and Cadence Chambers; and his dearest friends, Pete Sheppard, Chase Smith, Chilton Sheppard, John Odell, Wes Denny, and Jeff Turner. No formal visitation or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. You will be missed more than you will ever know, "Buddy." Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.

My heart is broken that my Duke buddy has moved on way too soon. Garrett had a big heart and I will miss him dearly. My sympathies to McKinley and family.
