Harry Robertson Obituary
Harry Glenn Robertson, age 76, died January 19, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. He was born in Mount Airy, NC to Glenn Marion and Mildred Wolfe Robertson. After graduating from Mount Airy High School in 1967 he went to UNC in Chapel Hill where he received his undergraduate degree, medical degree and surgical internship. Harry completed his three-year residency at Baylor College in Houston, TX, where he entered private practice; he practiced medicine in Birmingham, AL and finally in Atlanta, GA. Harry left the medicine field, establishing H.G. Robertson Fine Silver in Atlanta, retiring from the business in 2020. Harry was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his brother Gilmer Robertson of Mount Airy and many revered cousins. He had the rare ability to endear himself to classmates, patients, customers and most everyone he met; he was generous with his time, advice and support. Harry remained very loyal to his wide circle of friends throughout his life; they as well remained loyal to him. There will be a memorial service in Atlanta on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Kingsbridge Retirement Center, 3055 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta, GA, 30329. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 1:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy, NC. A gathering will follow at the Moore House, 202 North Main Street, Mount Airy, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Surry Arts Council, P.O. Box 141, Mount Airy, NC 27030 in Harry's memory. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy

Harry was my best friend and I knew him for 32 years. He was handsome, altruistic, compassionate and intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. The world is a much better place because of Harry and all that he brought to it. Requiescat in pace, and may his family be blessed and have all they need today and in the days forthcoming.
