Pamela King Obituary

Pamela King

Born: June 29, 1959 | Died: October 7, 2025

Pamela Cheryl King, 66, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 at Skyline Memory Gardens on 432 Old Buck Shoals Road, Mt Airy, NC 27030, officiated by Pastor Charlie Newman. There will be no formal visitation.

Pam was a woman of deep faith, full of kindness and grace. She thrived working in the business world, but her true passion was her devotion to the care of others. She inspired everyone blessed to know her.

She graduated from West Charlotte High School in 1979, and furthered her studies at Northwestern University studying Strategic Marketing Management; Human Development and Learning at UNC-Charlotte; and received her Masters of Special Education at Appalachian State University.

From 1975 to 1981 Pam traveled throughout the United States and Canada with "Sounds of America", singing of God and country. Pam loved to travel, having just recently explored Alaska, and the Canadian Rockies. Most recently, she found joy fishing on the ocean in the early morning hours with her special friend Gerry Dudley, of Charlotte.

Pam's career was multifaceted, and also well-traveled, as it took her to the Washington DC area, Chicago, Florida, and eventually back to Charlotte, NC; where she ended her business career as Director of Marketing for Family Dollar.

For the past 11 years, Pam found great joy and purpose in her work with the company she co-founded, "Daughters on Call Concierge Care". She used her nurturing spirit to comfort, support, and care for others, just as she had done her entire life.

Pam was a breast cancer survivor, marking her one-year milestone just this month. Her strength and resilience shone brightly through every chapter of her journey. Pam was a giver, always presenting others with "love gifts" as she called them. She knew how to make anyone and everyone feel special.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents: James Franklin King(1975) and Mary Nell King(2018).

Pam was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend; lovingly survived by her brothers: Ed King(Debbie) of Wilmington, NC and Jeff King(Marge) of Kannopolis, NC; Nephews: Jeffrey King Jr(Carolyn) and Sonny King; Niece: Eden Perdue(Hunter); Great Niece: Ella Beth King; Great Nephew: Cameron James King.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association(https://www.heart.org/) or The HEARTest Yard Fund(https://receptionsforresearch.networkforgood.com/projects/198839-heartest-yard)
