Patsy Tatum Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patsy Wells Tatum beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who departed this life on Oct. 3, 2023. She was born on Nov. 30, 1934, in Mount Airy, to George Edward and Mary Etta York Wells. In 1950, Patsy married William "Bill" Tatum Jr. and moved to Florida; they moved to Astor in the early sixties. Patsy is survived by her two daughters, Terri (David) Hanna, Kathy Tatum and partner Larry Keller, sister, Mary Ralstin, eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Tatum Jr.; daughters, Vickie and Kelly; son, William "Billy" Tatum; her parents and brothers, William and Clayton Wells. A service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Astor (24731 Ann Street, Astor, FL 32102). A reception will be held immediately after the service and following the reception, she will be laid to rest at the Astor-Astor Park cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Astor-Astor Park Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.BeyersFuneralHome.com.
