Christopher George Wold, 43
February 14, 1978 - May 20, 2021
Christopher George Wold passed from this life in the early morning of May 20,2021. He began his life on Valentine's Day, 1978 in Butte, Montana. He was born to Terry and Shelley Wold and lived the majority of his life in Butte.
Christopher was the 3rd generation family member to attend Ramsay School, and went on to attend East Jr. High and Butte High. He was a member of the State Championship wrestling team for Butte High in 1994. His love of wrestling started at the age of 5 and was then he became a member of the Butte Amateur Wrestling Club. He played football while in high school as well.
As a youth, Christopher experienced all Montana has to offer as he enjoyed countless camping trips with his family, fishing and hunting with his dad Terry, hiking to mountain lakes and streams, skiing and snowboarding. His children claim he was really "good" at this. He loved music, playing his guitar, dogs and cats, "fixing stuff," gummy candy, had a very dry sense of humor, hated tomatoes, and always claimed he was "27."
Christopher learned the Wold work ethic at an early age. "If your bleeding, get a band aid." "Keep Working." "If it's broken, use the other one." He was a very humble, hard-working man. He started his own successful fencing business, Rocky Mountain Fencing, which he ran for many years. Countless fence posts and wire were touched by his hands over the years. He was also employed by Drydan Properties.
Christopher thoroughly enjoyed working on cars and possessed an instinctive ability to fix or repair most anything needing fixing. If he couldn't figure the problem out, he would "keep at it" until he could. It was common to find him late at night after completing a long day's work, helping someone with a "car" problem.
If asked to give the reason for "his happy," his purpose, and reason for living, it would undoubtedly be his daughter Kirsten, and his son, Erik. They knew their dad to be selfless, kind and knew he touched the lives of many individuals during his lifetime.
Christopher also found true companionship with Katrina and they were able to share many happy moments together over these past several years.Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Laverne Wold, Evelyn and Lew Blaskovich, and Aunt, Irene Mock.
He is survived by his children Kirsten Wold, and Erik Wold, his parents, Terry and Shelley Wold, sister, Amy (Charlie)Reed, nieces Emma and Elli Reed, in addition to aunts, Gayle (Mike) Wold, Carol Wold, Meri (Marty) Hovan, Cathi (Dave) Sheldon, Chris (EG) Leipheimer, Fran (Paul) O'Neill, uncles, Phil (Kathy) Blaskovich, Rick (Sue) Blaskovich, and Gary Wold. Far too many cousins to mention by name. In addition, friends Clint Chamberlain, Joe Maesar, Tim Mason, Ralph Boerner, as well as countless and loyal friends over the years.
Christopher's organs were donated as to his wishes.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Abundant Life Fellowship, 630 W. Iron St. in Butte. Reception to follow in the church, where Christopher came to the Lord and was baptized, and dedicated both his children. Christopher has been cremated. There will be no graveside service.
Donations may be made to the Butte Food Bank.Psalm 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
