Daniel Keller Obituary

DILLON - Daniel J Keller, 82, of Dillon, died peacefully March 13, 2007, after a brief bout with cancer.

Dan was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Burwick, N.D., to Wendlin and Kathrine Keller. Dan served his country proudly in the Navy during World War II.

He married Velma Wineman Dec. 6, 1947. The couple moved in 1950 to Butte, where he worked as a miner and carpenter, then retired from Stauffer Chemical in 1979.

Dan and Velma retired to the Bitterroot Valley, then relocated to Dillon in 1990. Dan enjoyed fishing hunting, traveling and musicals.

He also enjoyed his morning coffee klatch friends and workouts at the YMCA. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Velma Keller.

Dan is survived by four children: Debbie (Jim) Rowe of Spokane, Dan (Shannon) Keller, Mike (Melanie) Keller of Dillon, and Deanna (Chris) Noon of Sheridan; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Brundage Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, with services at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

So sorry to hear about the the loss of your Dad and my Uncle. I will cherish his visit to Great Falls last October, 2006 and will definitely still come and see you. Diane and I promised him a trip and he said he owed us dinner but we shall see about that. He was definitely one of my favorite Uncles and a unique individual. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Love you all and please do keep in touch. Your cousin, Donna (Voeller) Hayes

Hi Cousins Debbie, Dan, Mike, & Deanna
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad and my Uncle. He was a neat man and I will never forget the little smirks he had on his face when he came to Great Falls to visit Dad. I am so glad we got to treat him to dinner last fall when he came here. Our only wish is that we were not able to let him treat us to dinner this Spring but please let me or Diane know when you will all be together and we can meet each other again and rekindle friendships. All my memories of your Mom and your Dad are great. He definintely was a unique man. All my love to you...Your cousin Donna
