Heidi Eleanor Skocilich, 73
May 5, 1948-March 6, 2022
Heidi Eleanor Skocilich, age 73, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in her home Sunday, March 6th, 2022. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. She will be laid to rest and in our lord's loving hands at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Walter of Deer Lodge MT.
She enjoyed life and is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike Skocilich. Their 5 children/ spouses, DeeAnn McNay (Dan), Michael Skocilich (Heather), Tonya Skocilich, Melanie Barrios (Carlos) and Raymond Skocilich (Nora), 13 grandkids and last summer welcomed her first great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, her sister, Sonja Ryan, brothers David & Joe Walter, and we can't forget her fur baby Jazzy.
She graduated with an Associate's Degree in Psychology from Western Montana College in 1982 while taking care of her 5 kids at home and working full time at the Montana State Hospital. She later worked at various places, including the Town Pump of Rocker, until the time of retirement in 2009.
She loved spending time with her grandkids and laughing with family. She recently fulfilled her lifelong dream of eating fresh lobster in Maine with her daughters this last September. Her biggest joy was her love of animals, especially her two fur babies, Begee and Jazzy. Jazzy will be laid to rest with our mom. We believe this will give her comfort on her journey, as Jazzy provided so much love while she recuperated from her previous heart surgery. A life full of laughter, love, and adventures came to a close. She would simply say Go Packers!
