James Williams Obituary

James Timothy "Tim" Williams, 56

December 28, 1964 – July 28, 2021

Tim left this earth very unexpectedly on July 28, 2021 due to a cardiac arrest. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family in Austin, Texas.

Tim was born on December 28, 1964 and was raised in Butte, Montana by his parents, Earl and Peggy Williams, along with his eight siblings.

He spent his adult life in Texas with his wife, Belinda, and their two children, Josephine and Harrison. Texas was his life but he still had Montana in his heart.

His greatest accomplishment and joy in life was being a Dad. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his children. He worked tirelessly and selflessly to improve the lives of everyone around him.

Growing up in a family of nine kids and having everyone spread out as adults, it would have been easy to lose touch, but Tim always made the effort to stay in contact, taking trips up North to introduce his children to his roots.

Tim had the best outlook on life, always positive, no matter how challenging the circumstances. His genuine smile, quick wit, sense of adventure, and caring attitude will be missed by all. He helped so many people, we all have stories to tell.

Fifty-six years is just too young to say goodbye to someone in their prime. Tim was extremely passionate about his work at RBG, watching his children grow into young adults, and living life to its full potential every day. For those of us left behind, we will never understand why now, and we will never forget.

We all hoped and prayed for a miracle, but it wasn't meant to be. Tim's final act of kindness was as an organ donor. He would find comfort in knowing that in his passing he was able to help many other families.

Tim is survived by his children, Josephine Williams and Harrison Williams, and their mother, Belinda Williams, all of Austin, TX; his mother, Peggy Williams of Gillette, WY; his siblings, Kathleen (Brian) Woodward of Whitefish, MT, Meg Williams of Gillette, WY, Mary Jo (Pat) Harmon of Chester, MT, Karen Williams of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary Williams of Iowa Park, TX, Steve (Lori) Williams of Gillette, WY, Brian (Nelly) Williams of Nashville, TN, and Nicholas Williams of Austin, TX; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and John Brinson of Austin, TX, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Williams.

A celebration of life will be held in Austin at a later date.

We lost a great Dad, Son, Brother, and Friend, and his children lost their rock. We love you Dad and Tim.

I just saw that Tim passed and I´m speechless with sorrow. Tim and I were the best of friends during our Casper college days. I was always a part of his antics in some way..."act casual" was always his decisive instruction! I´ve got letters and cards still from him...I´ve got to find them now. We went to UW for school but parted ways after awhile. I got a wedding invitation from him and that was the last time I heard from him. The irony? I live in Bozeman now and have driven through Butte many times thinking of him and his family.
Bless you, Timmy

I have to share a great story about Tim. He and I met for the first time over lunch at a nearby restaurant. This was our first interview and he won me over in short order. The bulk of our time was spent talking about our families and kids. He shared so many stories of adventure and family that I quickly realized that family was his first priority. He could not say enough about Harrison and Josie. He beamed with pride. 90 minutes quickly rushed by and I knew I had found the right person for the role. We didn´t talk work until much later into lunch and he definitely demonstrated that he wanted to step into his role and be exactly what we needed. He did that for RBG and I am a better leader because of his wisdom and shared experience. He managed several key and difficult accounts with excellence. His customers will all miss him as he developed strong and lasting relationships with each of his contacts.

More importantly he developed relationships with all of us on the accounts team. He was always there for anyone who need support, and he was the perfect solution minded team player that RBG needed. His mentorship of are 2 newest CSM´s, Carina and Teresa was where he really shined. He helped them gain confidence so that they can be stars for RBG. He will be forever missed. We love Tim like family. He has left and indelible mark on our organization forever.

The memory that I love the most is his uncanny knowledge about the car world. He loved cars and it showed. We recently began working with BMW and he was ready to step up and shine bright for this new account. To say we have some big shoes to fill is such an understatement.

I am sure he is driving fast in heaven in his dream car!
