Joshua Witt Obituary

Joshua James Witt died Thursday in an automobile accident. He was born in Butte on Sept. 11, 1981, to James Edward and Ruth (Werth) Witt. He attended Butte Central Junior High and Butte High School.
Josh has worked since a young child, starting with taking care of a loving lady that was a neighbor until she passed away. Then he worked at the Front Street Market, The Montana Standard as an inserter and delivery man, Peppers Casino and Restaurant as a dishwasher. His most recent job was with Saulsbury Electric, a job that had him traveling to many different places.
He loved barbecues, camping, traveling, riding in the mountains, four wheeling, jet skiing, snowmobiling and most recently skydiving.
Josh was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Clyde and Nancy Witt; grandfather, Rolland Farmen; and his uncle, Dean Werth.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Witt, Butte; sister and brother-in-law, Denisha and Mike Townsend, Butte; grandmother, Zella Werth, Butte; aunts and uncles, Mary Jensen and Jim Sawtell, Cathy and Greg Ireland, Patty Witt, Steve Witt, Kathy Daly; cousins, Jenny Jensen, Patrick, Angie and Casey Ireland, Chris, Corey and Steve Witt; nephew, Steven Jensen; niece, Madisen Sanders. Josh had many friends, including his special friends Leonard Hihnala, Harold and Eleanor Johns, Marla and Jim Yakawich, Chris and Rilla Surber.
His remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow services. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Monday 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Butte Food Bank, Pintler Pets or to a charity of the donor's choice.
