Jean and I became friends in high school. Our fathers worked together also. We reconnected at a high school reunion and kept in touch for a couple of years. Then, unfortunately, we drifted apart again. I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Jean's children, but heard about them from Jean. She and I shared the loss of a child and talked about our mutual losses. My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren.
