Phillip Scalabrin

Phillip "Phil" Scalabrin passed away at Loma Linda University Medical Center, California on January 19, 2024. Phil was born in Butte, Montana and attended Emerson grade school, Butte Junior High and graduated from Butte High School in 1962. He went on to attend the University of Montana in Missoula. Phil spent several years working for Safeway Stores in Butte until he was called into service with the U.S. Army. After his service with the Army he returned to Butte to work for Safeway. His position there ultimately took him to Southern California where he worked at the Corporate Office for many years. At the time of his retirement, he was employed by Mercury Insurance. In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with family and his dear friends Judy and Jim Bailey. Phil took pleasure in fishing at Georgetown Lake and working in the garden but he was especially proud of the work he did restoring his 1964 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. The completed restoration was a source of great joy. He is survived by sons Jason (Renae), Shane and two grandchildren - Quinn and Ty. Phil also leaves behind his brother Bob Scalabrin (Dee) his 2 sisters, Berni Seibel (Dave) and Brenda Casqueiro (Rick) and numerous nieces and nephews.
