Father Bob Hall and I were classmates at Mt. Angel Seminary. He always had a kind and friendly disposition. One of the highlights of my life was making a "pilgrimage" to Butte for Saint Patrick´s Day one year. On that occasion I had the privilege of concelebrating the Feast Day Mass at Saint Pat´s with Fr. Bob as the presider and homilist. He was a devoted priest, and a kind pastor.
"Well done, my good and faithful servant. Come, share your master´s joy."
Matthew 25:21
I will certainly miss him.
My condolences to his family and those who are dear to him.

No one I know loved Jesus more than Father Hall. His devotion to his savior was evident in every mass he said. He was very private and didn´t often share his personal side in his Sunday morning talks, but when he prepared the meal of the mass for all, he spoke directly to his Lord with passion; it was a beautiful thing to witness. Then after mass, we always had a good laugh about life and the fact that God must have one heck of a sense of humor. We will miss his easy laugh and his dedication to his Lord and the people of St Johns and St Joes but we know he is very happy with his family in whatever place all good people gather when their time comes.

To the entire Hall family- my heart is broken, Father Bob and I were friends from grade school. We would walk to Longfellow and I always enjoyed visiting with him.
