He played for the Grizzlies for three years and was recently honored at the 100 year celebration of Grizzly basketball.
Bob married Juanita Spooner in Missoula on Oct. 16, 1950. They returned to Shelby in 1951 when he took over the family farm and sheep ranching operation after his father's death. Dear Aunt Nita,
During my summers spent in Shelby with my grandparents, I fondly and vividly remember you and Uncle Bob. I would come over to your house often and you would always make me an ice cream cone. Uncle Bob would always say "Well,hi little Prita!" This was always followed with a hug. It was great to see the both of you last summer in Colorado and I am grateful that I got to see Uncle Bob one last time as well. He was a wonderful man, and I have some really great memories of him during my stays in Shelby. I hope to see you soon... my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,

Condolences to Anita and family. Bob was my first basketball coach in 1957 and I have never forgotten some of the lessons he taught me. I have always thought fondly of those years and all the fun I had learning from Bob. My wife, Judy Gunlikson, also has fond memories of Bob and Anita and their family. Also condolences from Judy's parents, Jim and Melba Gunlikson. Bob and the family will be in our prayers.

Nita and family,
I have fond memories of us as neighbors in Shelby. Bob used to say to us, "well, here are the little Williams girls." I'll never forget that! I was saddened to hear of his passing. He certainly has a family and life you both can be proud of! May the Lord be with you and your family.
