Sharon Ruth Bergantino

Mrs. Sharon Ruth Bergantino passed away on Monday, June 4, 2024, at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana. Sharon was born on July 10, 1945 in Merrill, Wisconsin to Rudolph and Ruth (Berg) Petzka. She attended schools in Merrill and graduated High School in 1963. She worked as a seamstress for two years, before moving to Washington D.C. to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) as a Fingerprinting Technician. She married Robert Bergantino in 1970. She and her family moved to Butte in 1974.
Sharon enjoyed cooking and donated much of her free time to the Butte Public Library where she helped start Story Time, a children's reading program that she was devoted to for decades. She was also interested in photography, sewing, Butte history, cross-stitch, and trivia.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; and her son, Tony.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 am in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be held at a later date.
