Toni Rae Simmons Butcher, 50, of Medford, Ore., died March 30, 2006, after a short illness.
Toni was born March 10, 1956, in Denver. She attended schools in Washington, Colorado, Arizona and Montana and excelled in cheerleading.
After her son, Jay, was born, she helped her mother run a daycare business. Toni attended Butte Vo-Tech and received degrees in business, office procedures and computer technology. After graduating, she worked for the Child Support Division, for the next 10 years. She moved to Oregon in 1994.
On March 20, 1999, she married Jerry Butcher.
Toni was a devoted Christian and spent her life serving the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Simmons (Denver), Mona Gibson (Butte); and sister, Brandee Gibson.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Butcher; son, Jay (Amanda) Simmons, their children, Jaden and Joey Marie, South Dakota; brother, Ted (Lovey) Gibson, South Dakota; sisters, Robin (Tom) Wyant, their children, Dan, Kelcie and Tom Jr., Anaconda, Kelly (John) Payne, their children, Natasha and John Jr.; and numerous other relatives.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 10 in Church on the Rock, 300 Holmes Ave., Butte.
