Troy Scott Wohlman
January 15, 1969 - November 12, 2022
WALKERVILLE - Troy Scott Wohlman passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his home in Walkerville. He was born in Butte on Wednesday, January 15, 1969 to Gene and Mary Carol (Willoughby) Wohlman. He attended Kennedy and Blaine elementary schools then graduated from Butte Central in 1987. After high school he moved to Ohio where he continued his education and graduated from the Butler County Peace Officer Training Academy and then proudly served as a Peace Officer in Middletown, Ohio for several years. Troy returned to Montana in the early 2000's and continued law enforcement at the Montana State Prison, Acadia as a Program Manager, and CCCS. Most recently he was proudly serving our community at the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center. Troy had a heart of gold, a smile that outshined the stars, and a twinkle of mischief in his eyes.
He enjoyed fishing with friends and family but his favorite fishing buddy was his daughter Ashley. Another favorite pass time was hunting and pulling pranks with his dear friend Leo Rawson a.k.a his Hunting Wife.
Troy is survived by his parents: Gene and Mary Carol Wohlman of Butte; daughters: Ashley York-Wohlman of Butte and Lace and Lynz Wohlman; three grandchildren: Amberlie, Jackson, and Elizabeth; his brother and sister-in-law: Todd and Chyrle Wohlman of Stevensville, MT and their children, Tyler, Wesley, and Bailey; his sister and brother-in-law: Treasur and Shaun Dunfee of Richland, WA and their children, Marisa and Austin; cousins: Karen and Ben Bouley and their children, Alyssa, Shelby, and Erynne; along with his beloved furry friend, Catalina. As well as many more cousins, family, and friends.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning, November 22, 2022 at 11 o'clock in St. Patrick Catholic Church. His family will receive friends beginning at 10 o'clock. A reception will follow at the Butte Brewery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Butte Police Protective Association c/o First Citizen's Bank of Butte, 3220 Harrison Avenue, Butte, MT. 59701. Express condolences at www.wayrynen-richards.com.
