Glenn was born on June 12, 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Walter William and Laura Dorothy (Dungan) Feldman. He graduated from Rockridge High School in 1962 and from Iowa State University in 1967. Immediately following graduation, Glenn was drafted by the U.S. Army and completed Basic Training at Ft. Leonard Wood in 1967. He went on to complete the Helicopter Maintenance Training. In the summer of 1968, he reported for duty with the SPC 1st Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam where he performed maintenance on helicopters and flew 25 aerial missions in support of ground forces. After being wounded in an airstrike, Glenn was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal for his meritorious participation in action and was honorably discharged.

After his time in the Army, Glenn returned to the family farm in lower Rock Island County. Following in the footsteps of his father, Glenn tended the land he loved, raising cattle and planting and harvesting crops. Whether rain or shine, good markets or bad markets, Glenn never changed course, once stating, "If you're a farmer, you have to have faith." He enjoyed nothing more than farming each day and taking that step of faith. Beyond field work and tending livestock, one of his favorite parts of the day was taking care of the many cats that lived in the barn. He also enjoyed riding down the road in his truck, checking fields and chatting with neighbors and friends along the way. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his three sisters, his nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friends and fraternity brothers.

Glenn will be deeply missed by his sisters: Marilyn Lafever of Muscatine; Janet Kistler of Muscatine; and Diane (Doug) Hessman of Illinois City, IL; nieces and nephews: Greg (Sue) Kistler; Marty (Jami) Kistler; Matt (Dee) Lafever; Jim (Briana) Lafever; Julie (Scott) Wagner; Joy (Shawn) Carter; and Jill (Marcus) Holler; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Keith Feldman.
