Mario Marquez Obituary

Mario A. Marquez Jr.

March 24, 1978 - September 20, 2024

MUSCATINE, IA - Mario Alonso Marquez Jr., of Muscatine, IA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Mario was born in Iowa City, IA, but grew up in Muscatine, IA. The son of Maria Estela Cardenas; sister, Veronica Marquez, who was very special to him; along with his niece, Kiara Bran; and nephew, Giancarlo Marquez.

Mario was a very caring and friendly person; he made friends everywhere he went. He was a jokester and was always happy. He loved listening to music and trying new foods. He liked going to bars with friends and checking out the ladies. In his early adult years, he worked at snackers and delivered food around the downtown area, also, worked at a daycare.

Mario's one wish was to come home with his sister and the kids, but sadly did not make it home. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Veronica Marquez; family; and friends. "Love you, Bro!"
