Nadine Louise Cantelon

Nadine Louise (Flugekvam) Cantelon was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a nurturing grandmother and great-grandmother. She went home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2025 at the age of 75. Nadine was born in Bertha, Minnesota on October 25, 1949, to parents Harvey Flugekvam and Lilly Aasheim Flugekvam. When she was still a baby, she and her family moved to Washington State. It was there where she would spend her childhood and teenage years in Bellingham. At age 13, she met her beloved husband of 55 years, William "Bill" Cantelon. Nadine and Bill married in Mannheim, Germany on August 26, 1969. They went on to have four children, spending their early years living in various places in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Germany, where Bill was stationed in the military. While life's adventures brought them many places, Nadine was always ready to make each house they lived in a cozy, loving home for her family, building cherished memories along the way. She treasured her children, modeling motherly strength and grace, and as the years advanced, she was always ready with a loving hug for her grandchildren. Her loved ones remember her for her sweet spirit, her quiet strength, her dedication to family, and her quick-witted sense of humor. Her faith in the Lord shone through her life, and she found daily encouragement in prayer and Scripture. Nadine is reunited in heaven with her parents, and with her grandson Ethan Cantelon. She is survived by her husband Bill; children: Marty Cantelon and his wife Pam, Nicole Cantelon, Jeremy Cantelon and his wife Roslyn, and Jessica Hogenson and her husband Scott; grandchildren: Lucas, Brynn, Renae, Michaela, Kaylee, Gabby, and Lorelei; great-grandchildren: Rhoads, Olivia, Liam, Boedy, Leah, and Freya; siblings: Joy Meissner, Luanne Emerson, Paul Flugekvam, and Rachel Flugekvam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nadine will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Her interment will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 2pm.
