Richard Kenneth McClellan

Richard Kenneth McClellan, 96, of Bellingham went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2025. Born June 28, 1928, to Reed and Edith McClellan. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Wallace and his sister Shirley.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Bellingham, where he met his beautiful bride of 75 years Joan Elizabeth Schiller. The two were married on September 2, 1949, after which Richard was drafted into the Army. He served his country for 6 years during the Korean War. Seeing service in Munich, Germany with the 172nd Infantry Regiment, Corporal McClellan was a mechanic in a heavy weapons company. He returned home in 1953 to start his lifelong occupation as a logger, until his retirement in 1993. Richard spent many years at his home in Everson with his beloved wife, where they shared a mutual love of gardening and the outdoors. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman which he shared with his sons and grandsons. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Joan, his son Tim (Cathy), his son Thomas (Tami), his daughter Tamara (Mike), his son Tony (Deeleen) and eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service held in his honor at Moles – Greenacres on Tuesday, January 14th at 2pm.
