Twila Welch Obituary

Twila Helen Welch, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1930, in Ekalaka, Montana to parents Richard and Mary Ellen (Lambert) Olson. Twila married Jack Welch on February 8, 1948. Twila owned and operated her own drapery business until 1980. She was an excellent homemaker and seamstress. Twila loved sewing, camping, reading her Bible, going to Bible study and spending time with her family. She loved the Lord and faithfully shared her faith with many people. Twila was a loyal friend and loved helping people. She was also a talented artist. Twila will be greatly missed by her children Bob (Marilyn) Welch of Mount Vernon, WA, Patti (Ray) Johnson of Bellingham, WA, Richard Welch of Maple Falls, WA, and John (Diane) Welch of Blaine, WA; her 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Twila is proceeded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Welch, four brothers and five sisters. A celebration of Twila's life will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Northside Community Church, Bellingham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
