Adele Antonios Obituary
New Brunswick - Adele (Barrood) Antonios died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at her home in New Brunswick. She was 98.
Born in New Brunswick to the late William and Nejeba (Farhat) Barrood she lived in Kendall Park and Florida before returning to New Brunswick in 2015. She was a registered nurse at Bristol Myers Squibb, several area hospitals and professional offices during her career before her retirement in 1983.
Mrs. Antonios attended Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Brunswick, St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Somerset and St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset. She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign War Auxiliary in Florida.
Her husband Edmond Antonios died in 1993. She was also predeceased by three brothers Louis, Abraham and Edward Barrood. Surviving are five sisters - Sr. Rose Barrood, Lulu Thompson and Marie Kerekes all of New Brunswick, Jennie Meseroll of Kendall Park and Grace Forrest of North Brunswick; two brothers - David Barrood, Sr. of Somerset and Phillip Barrood, Sr. of North Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Sacred Heart Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
