ALBERT MOLINARO
AGE: 88 MONROE TWP.
Albert Molinaro, 88, of Monroe Twp. died Tuesday July 13, 2010 at his home. One of eighteen children, Mr. Molinaro was born in Canton, OH. He lived in the Howard Beach section of Brooklyn, NY and Manalapan for 12 years before moving to the Ponds at Clearbrook community in Monroe Twp. in 2000. He was first employed as a carpenter and then as a plant manager for over 30 years at a family run business the Julietta Macaroni Corp., Brooklyn retiring in 1983 from the Ronzoni Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He attained the rank of staff sergeant and squad leader in the 147th Combat Infantry, serving in Samoa and Guam. Mr. Molinaro was an avid bowler, golfer and devoted Mets fan. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. and Knight of Columbus Council in Howard Beach.
He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Elvira Zuaro Molinaro in 2007; four brothers, Philip, Frank, Sam and Joe and three sisters, Mary, Rose and Yolanda. Surviving are his two sons, Paul and his wife Carolyn of E. Stroudsburg, PA and Albert and his wife Donna of Nesconset, NY; two daughters, Mary Ann Galayda and her husband Bill of East Windsor, and Vera Braun and her husband Andy of Cranbury; three brothers, Pasquale of Brooklyn, NY, Donald of Dumont, NJ and James of Port Richey, FL; a sister, Carmela Trimboli of NC; ten grandchildren, Paul, Stephanie, Christopher, Jenna, Daniel, Jessica, Brandon, Steven, Matthew and Dylan, and four great grandchildren, Daniel, Alexis, Kayla and LeAnn.
Services will begin 8:45 AM Saturday July 17 at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg followed by a 9:30 AM funeral liturgy at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. Burial will be in St., Joseph's Cemetery, Millstone Twp. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday July 16 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church Sunshine Club.
