AGE: 84 • Manchester
Alfred Dzbenski 84 of Manchester went to our Lord's arms on Monday February 4, 2013 at Bartley Health Center, Jackson. He worked as a Pharmacist for 40 years for Rabiner's Pharmacy in Perth Amboy and Colonial Village Pharmacy in Edison before retiring in 1993. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Edison before retiring to Manchester 10 years ago. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Beloved husband and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an active member of the Leisure Knoll Billiards Club, and an all-around athlete who was an avid tennis player his whole life. He was the pianist for the Sophisticated Swingsters and played the organ for St Stephen's Church in Perth Amboy. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Williams Dzbenski, 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Linda R Eckman & William Sr of Jackson and Debbie Forziati & Ray Sr of Lakewood, and 4 grandchildren Kristen, William Jr, Raymond Jr and Jennifer and 1 great grandson, Tyler. Visitation is Sunday February 10, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Monday February 11, 10 AM at St John's RC Church, Lakehurst with entombment to follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lewy Body Dementia Association 912 Killian Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 or the Parkinson's Foundation 1359 Broadway Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018.
