The Gara Family , January 29, 2024 I met a very nice women named Betty . I asked what is her last name is and she told me it is Gara . She mentioned that her husband went through the Somerville school system , and after graduating college , he went back to the Somerville school, as a teacher , where he taught English , drivers education , coached football , and freshman wrestling. I was educated by Alfred Gara , back in the 60's his name was Mr. Gara . I have much respect for him . He taught me English , how to work with a team , football , and , and how to work by myself , wrestling . I look back to the mid 1960's , I have great memories of Sam Yohn , Mr Benner , Campbel Platt , Al (Boomy) Malacoff , MR Maza, Ms Clark, Mr Michael Lepp , Ms Meredith , Mr Tozzi , Mr Criesie ,of course, MR. Alfred Gara .I was inspired by these people and Alfred Gara , the name brings back very good memories of my past .
I am very glad I met Betty today

Brent & family,
Remembering you and your family at this time of sadness. I knew your Dad through swimming(I swam for East) and he was a really nice man. My Dad also just died and I know how difficult this time will be.
Happiness in all those wonderful memories!
