DR. ALFRED T.C. PENG
AGE: 77 BOCA RATON, FLA.
Dr. Alfred T.C. Peng died Sunday (Dec. 14, 2008) at St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick. He was 77. Mr. Peng was born in Taiwan. He lived in Edison and Boca Raton, Fla., prior to moving to Piscataway in 2004.
Mr. Peng is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Vivian, and daughter, Linda; and son, Kenneth, from his prior marriage. Mr. Peng is also survived by his three brothers, Tsu-Ming Peng, Steven Peng and Tsu-Yi Peng; two sisters, Rainette Fu and Rai-Shi Sun; and four grandchildren, Christine Ho, Julianne Ho, Natalie Peng and Nicholas Peng.
Dr. Peng was a board certified anesthesiologist and the former chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Saint Peter's Medical Center, director of anesthesiology, Brooklyn Hospital Center, and director of anesthesiology, Astoria General Hospital. He was the former president of the American College of Acupuncture, a clinical associate professor of Surgical Science at N.Y.U. Medical Center, and the former vice chair of the N.Y. State Board of Acupuncture. Dr. Peng received his medical education from the National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan.
A memorial service will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Medical Center, 245 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
