Angelina Marchese Obituary
AGE: 88 • Monroe Township
Angelina Marchese, 88, of Monroe Township died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the Merwick Care & Rehab Center, Plainsboro. Born in Queens, NY., she was a resident of Monroe Township since 1993.
Angelina was a former member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, the Altar Rosary Society, St. Cecilia's Church and most recently Nativity of Our Lord Church. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts. During the war effort, Angelina folded bandages for the Red Cross. As a young women she worked in her fathers Beauty Salon, Jimmy and Daughters, Middle Village, Queens. Angelina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Daughter of the late James and Pietronella (Calabrese) Accardi, wife of the late Vincent Marchese, sister of the late Cecilia Giaimo, she is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law Joanne and George S. Olynyk, Claudia Marchese Ricciotti, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law Vincent Marchese, Gene and Jeanne Marchese, a brother and sister-in-law Jerome and Camille Accardi, a sister Nellie Horsting, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2014 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Monday from St. Cecilia's Church 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park. Friends may call on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
