Anna Michalowski Obituary
Spotswood - Anna Michalowski, 100 years old (Sto lat!), of Spotswood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. Born in Sayreville, Anna resided in Spotswood, after moving there in 1947 with her loving husband. Anna was a devoted mother and homemaker and was affectionately known as "Mom" to many. She was a seamstress for Charles Komar & Son in Spotswood and was a fashion designer for Wilshire Fashions in South River. She was a person of strong and unwavering faith and attended weekly Mass as a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Spotswood. She was also a member of their Rosary Altar Society.
She has been re-united with her loving husband of 62 years, Marcel ("Mike"), after almost 20 years apart. She is also joining her children, Thaddeus Michalowski, Paul Michalowski, and Patricia Birchel in Heaven. Surviving is her son, Leonard Michalowski, 2 daughters-in-law, her beloved 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 (and another on the way) great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family invites family and friends to call on Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River, NJ. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:45 AM at Maliszewski Funeral Home, followed by an 11:30 AM Mass at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Spotswood.
