Antonia Maraspin

Raritan - Antonia "Toni" Maraspin, 86, Raritan, died peacefully on December 5, 2017 at Independence Manor an assisted living facility in Flemington, NJ, where she lived for 2 years. She was born on October 14, 1931 in Valle d'Istria, Italy, to her dear parents, mother Maria (Giovanelli) and father, Matteo Maraspin.

Antonia spent her early years growing up in the beautiful Friuli region of Italy. Antonia's family was a victim of WWII and, along with thousands of others, immigrated to the US in 1950. She lived the rest of her life in Raritan, where she was a member of St. Ann's Church. Antonia worked diligently as a general manager of Trieber Clothing Industry where she was loved and respected by more than 50 employees. She was a devoted sister, daughter, aunt, and friend and will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Toni is survived by her dear brothers: Mario Maraspin, of Raritan, and Lyno Maraspin of Ringoes, her loving sister, Doreen Maraspin Benedetto of Flemington, 5 cherished nieces, 3 adored nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Maria Crisafulli, and a brother, Cipriano Maraspin, all of Raritan.

Viewing: Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908) 725-1887. Mass: Thursday, December 7, 2017, 10:00am at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan. Burial to follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
