AGE: 76 • Toms River
Arlene Stillger Wilson passed away peacefully at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ on April 30, 2017. She was 76 years old.
Arlene was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on October 13, 1940 and lived in Roselle, Carteret, and Toms River, NJ.
Arlene was a proud and dedicated teacher in the Carteret School District for 37 years. She was a member of the NEA, NJEA, & CEA unions. Arlene was a grateful recipient of a lung transplant in 1999 which allowed her to meet and love all of her 7 grandchildren. She was a congregant of Christ Episcopal Church in Toms River, NJ. Arlene loved spending time with her grandchildren, her 50's music, playing cards with her friends, reading mystery novels, playing on her bocce ball team, and her beloved mini- schnauzer Bella.
Arlene was predeceased by her parents Joseph Stillger and Anne"Perry" Pirich Stillger of Bayonne and Roselle, NJ. She is survived by her son Scott Wilson and his wife Kimberley of Halifax, MA and her son Todd S. Wilson Esq. and his wife Maria Brucato-Wilson of Whiting, NJ and her beloved grandchildren Mikaela, Marshall, Justice, Olivia, Marcus, Cash, and Cole.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 4-8pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 4, 2017 11am at Christ Episcopal Church, Toms River, NJ. Committal will be Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arlene's memory to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com

So very sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of being your Mom's coworker at Nathan Hale School. She was an excellent teacher. I have many fond memories of working with Arlene.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. I was fortunate to have her as my 2nd grade teacher at Washington School in Carteret during the mid-60s. She was a warm, nurturing & caring teacher; always bringing out the best in her students. May she rest in peace.
