Barbara Marko Obituary
AGE: 82 • Bridgewater
Barbara A. Marko, age 82, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Kearny, she formerly resided in Scotch Plains before moving to Bridgewater in 2003. She was co-owner of various businesses with her husband John who died in 1999. She was predeceased by her brother Georger and sister Majurie.
Anyone who knew Barb, met a lady who was accepting of all without judgement. She always kept you laughing and left you with a kind word. There are just those few people who walk among us that are a gift and she was truly that to many. She will be tremendously missed by her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Andrew Sohnen, her beloved grandchildren Michael, Christopher and James, her uncles Ken and Ed, her brothers-in-law Robert Marko and Nicholas Longo, her nephews John and James Ferrara as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Bonnie Brae, PO Box 825, Liberty Corner, NJ 07938-0825, the Green Knoll Rescue Squad P.O. Barbara was an amazing woman. She loved everyone regardless of your faults. I am truly blessed to have known her the last 4 yrs. Barb and Marj were truly the best people I have known. Both of them welcomed me into the family with open. They are now back together again.??????
