BERNARD T. "TOBY" TABASKO
AGE: 80 FORMERLY OF MIDDLESEX COUNTY
Bernard T. "Toby" Tabasko, 80, of Lopatcong Township, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at his home. Born Jan. 4, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Mary Harvin Tabasko. He had retired in 1985 from E.I. DuPont, Parlin after 39 years, as a research assistant. Mr. Tabasko graduated in 1947 from St. Mary's High School, South Amboy, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township, Pa.
He was predeceased by three sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn T. Kapperer; two sons, Bernard T. Tabasko Jr. and his wife Judy of East Windsor, and Glenn S. Tabasko and his wife Shirley of Stockton; his daughter, Theresa Stoddard and her husband Sidney, with whom Mr. Tabasko lived; a brother, Robert; two sisters, Mary Stanton and Ann Hoynos; and seven grandchildren, Colleen, Melissa, Glenn, Elizabeth, Sid, Kevin, and Olivia.
Viewing hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 4 at the Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the funeral home, followed at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christan Burial at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Township, Pa.
