Carol Davis Obituary
Somerset - 77, died August 7, 2021. Carol was born in Brooklyn, New York and formerly of Somerville before moving to Somerset in 1977. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Rutgers University for over 20 years, retiring in 1998. Carol was a member of the United Reformed Church in Somerville where she was in the church choir. She was a lifetime member of the Franklin Women's Club, the Franklin Park Senior Citizens Club and the Center Swinging Singing Seniors. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed doing crafts and traveling. Carol will be sadly missed by all.
She is predeceased by her husband Leonard Davis who passed away in 2005, a daughter Linda Davis and brother Bruce Schenck.
Surviving is her daughter Michelle Davis, son Jeffrey Davis and his wife Lucinda, a brother Barry Schenck, a sister Wanda Schenck-Lloyd, three grandchildren Leonard, Ava, and Victoria, and two great grandsons Noah and Lucas.
Funeral services will be 10am Friday at the United Reformed Church in Somerville. Interment will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville.
Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville.
