Charles M. LaFleur

AGE: 91 • Piscataway

Charles M. LaFleur, 91, died Monday, February 2, 2015 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Edison. Born in North Plainfield, Charles had resided in Somerville and, Hillsborough prior to settling in Piscataway over 50 years ago. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served as seaman first class working as a "spotter" for heavy artillery. He had been employed as a painter for various contractors for most of his life. Charles found enjoyment in working so he continued to work at small jobs in various capacities in surrounding local towns until recent years.

Predeceased by his wife, the former Grace Fabiano and sister, Beatrice Perrucci, he is survived by two sons, Charles and Dennis and a sister, Ruth Martino. He will also be missed by his two grandchildren, Katherine and James.

Family and friends may attend visitation at McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 5-6PM. Funeral services will begin at 6PM in the funeral home. Cremation will follow privately.
