Colette S. Hermann (Dupuis) 91, passed away peacefully December 28, 2016 at her home in Princeton, NJ.
Colette was born February 15, 1925 in Villers-Bretonneux, France. Colette and Richard W, Hermann were married in 1946 after meeting during World War II, Colette came over to the United States in 1946 as a war bride where she was greeted by her in-laws while waiting for beloved husband Richard to return home from the war.
They resided in North Brunswick, NJ before moving to Princeton, NJ in 1978. Colette had a true love and passion for gardening, raising sheep, bowling, bridge, golf, and german shepherds. When she wasn't busy in the yard she was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Colette Hermann is survived by her son Richard J. Hermann (Stelsa) of Roosevelt, New Jersey, daughter Marilyn Sliski (Chet) of Punta Gorda, Florida, and son Dennis W. Hermann (Terri) of Princeton, New Jersey, sister Simone Volpoet of Saint-Dizier, France, 12 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Richard W. Hermann.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a memorial service at 10:00 am followed by burial of her cremains in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Colette's memory to American Lung Association of New Jersey P.O. Box 10188 37214 Newark , NJ 07101
