Daniel Marzano Obituary

Daniel A. Marzano

Ocean Twp - Daniel A. Marzano, 94, died Tuesday December 5, 2017. He was born and raised in Newark. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a purple heart recipient. Completing his educational requirements in 1952, he practiced podiatry in Newark and Long Branch until 1989. He was a member of the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean, Elks and Old Guard of Long Branch, the VFW of Asbury Park and the American Podiatric Medical Association. He was predeceased by his wife, Victoria, his son Albert Marzano and his brothers, Joseph and Gordon Marzano. Surviving are his sons, Paul and his wife Catherine "Cip" Marzano of Aurora IL and Joseph and his wife Gina Marzano of Holmdel, daughter-in-law, Linda Marzano of Tucson, AZ; brother, Peter and his wife Rosemary Marzano; sisters-in-law, Theresa and Norma Marzano and six grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Luke, Gianna, Salvatore and Anthony Marzano. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Deal. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Manasquan, NJ 08736 or to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Short Hills, NJ 07078.
