Daniel Salvatore Obituary
AGE: 87 • Bound Brook
Daniel F. Salvatore, Sr., 87, died peacefully Monday, February 15, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Born in Bound Brook, he was a lifelong resident, graduating from Bound Brook High School in 1947. He worked as a State Farm insurance agent for 34 years before retiring several years ago. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook, a member of the Bound Brook Elks, the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society where he enjoyed cooking for their Friday night dinners and the many camping trips for father and sons. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, the racetrack, and rooting for The New York Yankees
Daniel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shelby Porter Salvatore, 2 sons, Daniel and his wife, Sandra Salvatore of Green Brook, and David Salvatore of Philadelphia, PA, a daughter, Dawn and her husband, Mark Fallet of Buchanan, GA, 5 grandchildren, Erik, Nicole, Joshua, Samantha, and Jakob and a great-grandson Lucas.
Funeral services will begin at 10:45 AM Friday February 19, 2016, from Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Burial will be in Bound Brook Cemetery. Visiting will be Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
