Della Olson Obituary
AGE: 83 • Iselin
Della Bird Olson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was 83 years old.
Born in Jersey City, she has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township since 1954.
Mrs. Olson was employed as a Clerk with Western Union many years ago.
She was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin; and was active at St. Thomas Aquinas High School when her children attended there.
Mrs. Olson was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Olson, in 2009; and a son Stephen J. Olson
Surviving are her children, Patricia A. Sharick of Colonia, Sharon K. Tenpenny of Hopelawn, Charles E. Olson of Sayreville, Thomas R. Olson of Levittown, PA, and William J. Olson of Rahway; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Saint James Food Pantry 174 Grove Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in Mrs. Olson's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.

R.I.P. Nana Olson, a wonderful and delightful grandma to have. I'd say your greatest accomplishment is raising six incredible children, including my dad, and his incredible being is a testimony that you raised your children well. Thank you for always being loving, caring, and generous to all your children and grandchildren. Love you Nana, see you again someday

Della was a wonderful Mother-In-Law and a fabulous grandmother to our children. The greatest gift she gave this world and myself was raising her son, Stephen, to be the incredible person he was. Both will be missed, but we are glad they are no longer suffering and are in peace. Thank you both for being so amazing... Love you..will miss you until we meet again.
