DORA BROGNA
AGE: 88 SOMERSET
Dora Brogna, 88, of Somerset died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Staten Island and resided in Edison for 52 years before moving to Somerset 7 years ago. She was a retired Dept. Manager at Macy's Menlo Park & East Brunswick after many years. After which she managed the gift shop at N.J. Veterans Home in Menlo Park for 6 years. She was a Communicant of St. Augustine's R.C. Church. Member of the Altar Rosary Society & Legion of Mary at Guardian Angel Church, Edison. Member of the Senior Citizens of Edison and Red Hats of Somerset.
She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Pasquale J. Brogna (1996); daughter, Patricia Wylie (2003). She is survived by her daughters, Lenora Byrne (Jack) of Somerset and Doreen Hurst (Carl) of Edison; Grandchildren, Michelle Capezza of Madison, Lisa Del'Re of Jackson and David Wylie of No. Brunswick.
Funeral Services on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 9:15AM from Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:15AM at St. Augustine's R.C. Church. Entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation on Friday, May 14th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Lenora, Doreen & Family - I was so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She was a wonderful, kind woman who was so full of love for everyone. I hope you find comfort thinking that she and Patty will be seeing each other again. They were both very special women and I know that family and friends were very important to them. My deepest sympathy.

Aunt Dora was one of the most amazing women to walk this earth. She never said goodbye with out "Love You" right after it. She was kind and generous and truly one of the sweetest ladies. It was like her heart was lined with gold! I always enjoyed her stories and her company. She touched so many of us in so many special ways and will be greatly missed. Aunt Dora- Rest Peacefully and give my Grams a hug for me! Love you!

My mother Jennie/Jean Arway, was a friend of Dora's from the Edison Seniors. I met her several times. My mom passed almost 14 years ago. She enjoyed Dora's company. My sincere condolences.
