AGE: 96 • Manchester

Edward S Davidson 96 of Manchester died of a broken heart Friday January 3, 2014 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He worked as the women's better coat and suit buyer for RH Macy's Dept Store, New York City for 36 years, retiring in 1976. Born in New York, NY he resided in Teaneck for 20 years before moving to Manchester in 1985. He served as a Corporal in the Army during WWII from 1942-1945 and is a Bronze Star recipient. He is predeceased by his wife Hazel in 2010. Surviving are his stepsons, Lorry R Mendez of Bordentown and Robert R Mendez of Whiting, Helen Schultz Mendez of Manchester and granddaughter, Sandra D Mendez of Kentucky and loving niece, Jeanette Chennells of Lakewood. Visitation is 11:30-12:30 PM Wednesday at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Manchester, with Chapel Service 1:30 PM at Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown.
