EDWARD LONIEWSKI
AGE: 84 SAYREVILLE
Edward Loniewski, 84, of Sayreville, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born and raised in Sayreville, he resided in Virginia and Texas for over 20 years before moving back to Sayreville. Before his retirement 29 years ago, he was employed as a shipping clerk at National Lead Industries in Sayreville for 34 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of Sayreville Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 4699. Mr. Loniewski was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mary M. Brobeck Loniewski, in 2001; his parents, Walter and Nellie Loniewski; and his brothers, Eugene, Willie, and Ferdinand Loniewski. Surviving are his children and their spouses, Edward and Doris Loniewski of Lakewood, Gregory and Mary Loniewski of Greenbackville, Va., Stephen and Sherry Loniewski of Washougal, Wash., Chrisanne and Dan Scully of Sayreville, and Mark Loniewski of South Amboy; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St., Sayreville. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, March 19 from the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Sayreville, with private cremation to follow.
