My condolences to the Vaughan family. It was a pleasure knowing Sonny and the Family growing up and I have fond memories of playing the pinball and amusements in what we called "The back room" in their place by the bridge. RIP Sonny, you will be missed!!!

My condolences to Sonny's family. Growing up in Highlnads I spent alot of time at his family's Vaughan Grill on Rt 36.Many loose coins from my paper route went into the pinball machines there. I remember Sonny best from the time he was a life guard at the Highlands Bridge Beach and his son Ernie was always running and playing at the beach.I think he was playing football at Syracuse at the time and I thought he was a giant because he was so big. He was a great guy! Prayers are extended to his entire family at this difficult time.
Best regards,
