AGE: 78 • Barnegat
Eugene R. Bisignano, 78, of Barnegat, NJ passed September 6, 2016 at home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to his late parents, Albert and Sophie, where he served on the FDNY with Ladder Co. 148 and coached the Great Kills Little League All Star Baseball Team on Staten Island.
Predeceased by a son, Gregory; a brother, Dominick; and a step-son, Jeffrey Morris, he is survived by his wife, Joanne Bisignano; his son, Christopher (Valerie) Bisignano; his step-son, Michael Morris; two step-daughters, Danielle (Richard) Weldon and Sheri (Chuck) Wilson; eight grandchildren and his brother, Ralph Bisignano.
Viewing Friday, Sept. 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass offered Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH.com)

In early 1973 I walked into the quarters of Ladder 148 and
Engine 282 to be met by Oogie...his wit and professionalism
was apparent from day one...I worked with Gene until he left...
We survived thru thick and thin through many adventures....
