EVANGELOS GEORGIOU DRAZINAKIS
AGE: 77 WHITEHOUSE STATION
Evangelos Georgiou Drazinakis, 77, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington with his loving family by his side. Born in Piraeus, Greece, son of the late George and Marika Drazinakis, he resided in Whitehouse Station since 1978. Evangelos served in the Marines with the Greek Armed Forces. He was a SNAME licensed A' Class Chief Marine Engineer and worked in merchant marine for most of his adult life. He worked for Exxon, Kolokotronis Shipping, ShipTech International as Port Engineer in NY and recently was executive VP for Performance Coatings International in West Caldwell. Evangelos was a member of the AHEPA, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and he was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. He was a prolific engineer with many US Patents, who also loved photography.
Evangelos leaves behind his loving wife, Despina (Kritikos) Drazinakis; loving son, George and Glory-Ann Drazinakis of Readington Township; loving daughter, Marianna and Daniel Bunce of High Bridge. He will be deeply missed by his dear brother, Kostas Drazinakis and dear sister, Magda Drazinakis-Petridis both of Greece; and five cherished grandchildren, Anna and Emily Drazinakis and Evan, Joanna and Dessy Bunce. Evan Bunce is lance corporal currently serving with the US Marine Corps. at Camp Lejeune, NC.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a wake on Friday, May 28th from 6-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 29th from 8:45 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29th beginning 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway.
