Evelyn Kavanaugh Obituary
AGE: 94 • Kissimmee, FL
Evelyn Kavanaugh, 94, of Kissimmee, Florida, died Friday, January 30, 2015. Evelyn was born in Bound Brook, NJ, the daughter of David J. and Elizabeth (Freuler) Teston. A long-time resident of North Plainfield, NJ, she was a homemaker and part-time bookkeeper for Acme Engineering Company in Middlesex, NJ. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Church in North Plainfield where she was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Rosary Altar Society. In 1989, Evelyn and her husband Lawrence retired to Port St. Lucie, FL. In 2010, Evelyn moved to Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, FL, and enjoyed being with family, playing cards, especially Bridge, reading, and watching the news, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
She is survived by five children: Mary Ellen Watson of Bluffton, SC; Jane K. Williams of Somerville, NJ; Lawrence H. Kavanaugh, Jr. of Winter Haven, FL; Elizabeth A. Neston of Orlando, FL; and Kevin J. Kavanaugh of Ewing Township, NJ; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Lawrence H. Kavanaugh in 1999.
Services and burial for Evelyn will be held in Somerville, New Jersey at a later date. Donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Church in Kissimmee, Florida.

Aunt Evelyn has always held a special place in my heart. I will always remember with fondness the many visits to the Kavanaugh Home. Your family remains in my prayers and mass intentions . Thinking of your loss and hoping her memory will bring you peace.

I met Evelyn in the early 1970s when I was a leader with the Boy Scout troop at St. Joseph's Church. She was a wonderful person and a joy to be with.
