Frank John Christie, Jr.

AGE: 81 • Long Branch

Frank John Christie, Jr., 81, of Long Brach passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Monmouth Care Center in Long Branch. Born in Irvington, he had lived in Edison before moving to Long Branch in 2004. Frank was a tax accountant and proprietor of Christie Associates in Long Branch. He was an avid golfer, sports fan, loved to boogie board and play horseshoes. He was member of the NJ Board of the National Association of Tax Professionals and a member of FOP Lodge 12 in Newark. Frank served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in West End.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katherine Christie and his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Robert Ziegler. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Carole Ann Christie; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Debra Christie; Stephen and Barbara Christie; a daughter and son-in-law, Dana-Maree and Eric Maney; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Katelyn, Dylan, and Connor; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 13, from 5-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14 at 1:30 pm at St. Michael's Church, 800 Ocean Avenue in Long Branch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Michael's Church. Letters of condolence may be sent through the web at www.damianofuneralhome.com.
