Gary Richard Hand

Gary Richard Hand passed away on Saturday morning July 31, 2021 at UMDNJ University Hospital in Newark after a brief illness. He was 26 years of age.

Gary was born in New Brunswick and lived most of his life in the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. He graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2013. He played baseball in his youth and in high school. He loved comic books, music and anything that had to do with the paranormal.

He was employed for many years by UTZ in Freehold as a warehouse manager. He was currently preparing to work on his HVAC certification at Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Patricia Buckelew this past April.

Gary is survived by his parents Gary and Karin Hand of South Brunswick. He is also survived by his sisters Elisabeth, Rebecca and Kristina. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather Richard Buckelew and paternal grandparents Gary and Linda Hand along with all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 3-6 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A funeral service will then begin at 6 PM. All other services will take place privately.
