George Klimcsak Obituary
AGE: 89 • East Brunswick
George Klimcsak, age 89 of East Brunswick passed away Monday January 2, 2017 at St. Peter's University Hospital surrounded by his loving children. Born in South River, George was a WWII Navy Veteran who served his country proudly. George worked for CBS as a cameraman for over 42 years recording all the top news, world and sporting events.
George is predeceased by his beloved wife Irene (Nelson) Klimcsak of 59 years as well as two brothers and sister. George is survived by his children, Brenda & Barry MacKay, Bonnie Klimcsak, Linda & George Rothweiler, and George Klimcsak as well as his grandchildren Allison, Kristine, Chris, Melissa, Scott, John and Jenna and great-grandchildern Amber, Mckenna, Hunter, and Hayden and his brother Edward Klimcsak.
Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave South River, NJ. Funeral Services are private under the direction of Maliszewski Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of George to Alzheimer's Foundation

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I had the pleasure of first meeting George as a sixteen year old production assistant in 1976 at the Masters. Throughout my TV career working for WUSA in DC, I ran into George at many different sporting events. He was always very kind to this young boy starting out in the business and provided a wonderful example. To me, he was eight feet tall behind the camera wearing those coyboy boots. I loved his attitude and pure excitement for his craft. George was so proud to be on the front row for history and he offered me many tips. He was one of my heroes and I am so thankful to have met the man. Bless you George Klimcsak.

To George's family and friends, my sincere condolences. I met George at The Kemper Open years ago through a mutual friend who worked for Delta Airlines. What a gem. George made you feel like he had known you for years. Always upbeat, wonderful smile, full of energy. I'm sorry I was unable to connect with him over the years. I missed him. Now I will miss him even more. Blessings to his family.

I am so sorry to learn of George's passing. He and Irene were good friends to my husband, Fred, and me. I remember fondly many occasions and vacations with the four of us and we kept in touch for some time after Fred and then Ireme passed away. My heartfelt condolences to his children and grandchildren.

Your dad was such a good man. He seemed to love helping us out at the farm (and building that wonderful mounting block). Praying for his family and friends that are mourning the passing for this wonderful man. God bless him as he continues to watch over his loved ones. peggy k
