Gregory Risoldi Obituary
Port St. Lucie, FL - Gregory 'George' Risoldi, Sr., 93, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Gregory resided in Iselin and Newark before moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida. There, he was a member of the Port St. Lucie Moose Lodge where he loved to dance the night away. Most recently, he has been residing at Beach House Assisted Living in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. George was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all.
Gregory was predeceased by his son, PFC Vincent F. Risoldi, his parents, Andrew Risoldi and Madeline Scaturo as well as his brother Dominick Risoldi. Surviving are his children Madeline Grace (James) of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Stephen Risoldi of Fords, Gregory Risoldi, Jr. of Iselin, Robin Sherman (James) of Sewaren, Lisa Berndt (Charles) of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and Doreen Massaro of South Plainfield. Also surviving are his grandchildren Michael, Michelle, JC, Thomas, Ryan, Shayna and Kayla along with five great grandchildren and four siblings; Chris Scaturo (Louise), Jerome Scaturo, Bridget DeCarlo (Salvatore) and Margaret DePasquale in addition to several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 from GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gregory may be made to Care 2 Caregivers: 151 Centennial Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08854.
